Hey Tonia, I just read your story, and was blown away and intrigued. You say that you have taken herbs that helped you past fibrous tissue. What herbs did you take? Were they prepared by Eshe? Also you say that you have a job that is stressing you out and that you're longing for the courage to leave it. Was wondering what you do...and whether you are still hoping to leave your job. As I shared in an earlier blog comment, I'm a teacher and at the close of the school year (early June) I won't be receiving a contract renewal. 22 of us have been laid off...i'm scared but in all honesty was not happy there at all. it was a workaholic and toxic environment, and also i'm feeling like after 13 years of teaching it's time for me to step out of the classroom. not sure what's next but the desire to express my self creatively and connect that with service is strong. anyway this past week, after 10 months of no pain, I woke up at 4am with severe abdominal pain. it was familliar pain and seems to indicate that my ovarian cysts have grown again. i'm disappointed but have to admit that i fell off of the herbal regimen a while ago. so now i am trying to get back on the balance beam: took a salt bath today, did a castor oil pack on my womb and I'm trying to connect with Eshe. anyway just wanted to check in.
Peace, Sis. Tonia! We wanted to invite you to join us on October 19th in Cleveland for our "Hair To Stay!" Natural Hair & Body Care Workshop & Dinner. Our main focus will be how to care for the hair, skin, and nails, but we will touch on fibroids also. The cost is $25.00 in advance and $30.00 at the door. You can check out our website or contact us to get tickets and/or more information if you're interested. We hope to see you there, and may you continue to progress on your path to wellness!

Peace, sis. I'm glad things are progressing well for you. Keep up the faith and persistence, and we (my fiancee and I) are right in Ohio as well, so let us know if there's anything we can do to assist you. You can also check the information we currently have up on infertility in the "Health Topic of the Month" section of our website if you'd like, in case something may be of further benefit.
Peace & Blessings,

About Me:
I do have to admit that I have a stressful lifestyle. I work full-time in an extremely stressful position, I'm a part-time graduate school student, and I'm mom/stepmom to three teens. I stopped taking birth control pills, after taking them off and on for a decade, in late 2004. I had not worn bone-straight hair since 1999, was following a semi-vegetarian and sometimes vegan lifestyle, so taking birth control pills didn't fit in with my goal of being a truly natural woman.
I was diagnosed with a fundal fibroid (9cm) in October 2007, (which has since shrank to 4cm as of November 2008). In February of 2008, wanting to do things naturally and not have to go under the knife, I started rubbing progesterone cream on my belly. In March of this year, I think I either suffered a miscarriage, blighted ovum, or the so-called natural progesterone cream really messed my body up. Afterwards, all heck broke loose with my periods. They doubled in length and I have had accidents on myself whenever clots decide to break through. Even worse still, I received no help from the medical community, since I wouldn't accept either birth control pills or a myomectomy that "would probably turn into a hysterectomy".
I have been taking herbs ever since. Along the way, I had been passing scary-looking clots/tissues/sacks that look like liver or boneless&skinless chicken breasts, as my body purged fibrous tissue. One day, after several seconds of intense cramping, I passed what looked like a sack. Could it have been the last of the miscarriage, since both the ob-gyns and the ER physicians refused to give me a D&C, but only wanted me to try various drugs? Could it have been a polyp?
Since then, my body continues to heal itself, with the help of herbs and avoiding foods and products that feed the fibroids. Also, I use my weekends for rest and relaxation, along with necessary errands like grocery-shopping. I have learned to say "no" to invitations to nonmandatory events that threaten my rest and relaxation. I take time to do simple things that I really enjoy.
My husband and I would like a baby (as we have children from our former spouses only), but even if not, I don't want my reproductive parts snatched out. Since I was a teen, I have seen the mental as well as physical toll of hysterectomies where there was no cancer involved.
My biggest stressor is my job (along with the act of balancing marriage, motherhood, full-time work, and graduate school), and I'm working on having the courage to leave the pay and benefits.
